Here we Go!

HERE I AM!  I'm FINALLY ready to carve out a place in the blogosphere where I
learn to sew a beautiful, well-fitting wardrobe.

Here are my makes to date:

Skirt with fabric from Winmill for the NYC Ballet (2011).  That's me
on the far right.

Simplicity 2178 for a Boston wedding with fabric from Elliott Berman (2011)

Simplicity 2250 in Liberty lawn for a barbeque rehearsal dinner in Florida (2011)

Skirt (Gertie's instructions) with silk from Gorgeous Fabrics for NYC holiday party (2012)

Rehearsal dinner dress (!!) using the Laurel with guipure lace from Gorgeous Fabrics and silk charmeuse from B&J (2014)

In addition, I have completed a pair of pajamas with a cuff of Liberty fabric (2010), a Liberty circle skirt (2010), a Vogue 1174 corset dress for a holiday party in London (2011), a dress that I never wear (2012), another dress I never wear (2013), and a maxi skirt (2013).

Here is the list of my unfinished objects (UFO's):  silk Bombshell bustier, Simplicity 1880 in coral silk organza, 1 pencil skirt for a friend in linen, 1 pencil skirt for me in wool crepe, 1 cotton Laurel dress, and 1 chair upholstery project that has been languishing in the corner for 7 months. I've also promised a friend a shift dress that I haven't started and my sister a pair of pajamas...

Where to begin???
